Fast-Flowering

Fast-flowering seeds, also called quicks or fast versions, are photoperiod plants bred to finish earlier than standard photoperiods. They’re typically made by crossing a photoperiod plant with an autoflower parent, but they still flower in response to seasonal light changes rather than automatically.

Depending on the strain, timing may be listed as a harvest window or as flowering time. Either way, these plants are selected to finish earlier while still putting on full summer growth.

What makes them so appealing is the timing. You get more time for seasonal growth than you would with an autoflower, but they tend to finish earlier than a standard photoperiod. That can be a big advantage for outdoor growers who want a little more breathing room before cold nights, heavy rain, or fall mold pressure start creeping in.
